Seems they are hitting Patong and surrounding areas pretty bad.

Calm down - you have it wrong if the article is anything to go by. Nobody is being prevented from watching the football. The issue is about illegal broadcast of the football with English commentary. Given Thailand's historical failure to deal with copyright and licensing issues it's a bit laughable but when you think about it, they are probably right to do so.Takiap wrote:Welcome to Thailand, we hope you enjoy your holiday here, but unfortunately you we cannot allow you to watch the football
Jamie, that was my take on it entirely. here in Australia we can watch sport on the PC 24/7 via webiste myp2p.eu.Jaime wrote:Calm down - you have it wrong if the article is anything to go by. Personally I'd have thought that not watching the matches with English commentary (and watching them with Thai commentary instead) would be a blessing - no inane punditry to endure.... well none that you could understand anyway! It makes me wonder whether the idiot in the article who claimed he couldn't watch the football unless it had English commentary (because his attention drifted from the match!) has ever been to an actual football match! No rewind, no fast forward, no action replays, no slow motion and definitely no commentators!

Are the 2 in sync? My experience is that satellite systems are subject to a slight delay.pharvey wrote:I'm 100% with Jamie "bach" (no bias)...
