Only 10 from the WC make the cut!

Hmmm.

Most of Capello's senior men are included, with John Terry keeping his place, even if his partner in the centre of defence next week remains something of a mystery.
I thought it was Capello's senior men who were the problem :?
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

Without doubt, but aided and abetted by Capello's squad choices, planning, management and tactics.

29 year old Zamora seems an obvious choice :? and he obviously didn't watch Joe Cole the other night!

At the end of the day its a friendly and I suspect a few left out will return in future.

And Paul Robinson has pulled out stating he is retiring from international football. Seem's he'd so given up, that it came as a surprise to be selected and had he known, he would have let Mr.C know of his feelings.

Seems like a middle finger job to me.

Still younger players with PACE, that's a bit of a novelty, wonder where he got that idea from? Oh hang on, they beat us 4-1 at the WC!

If they'll have 3 Arsenal players (Walcott, Wilshere, Gibbs), I might actually start thinking more positively about the England team. :thumb:

I agree with Redstonerocker. The FA have been barmy for a number of years. They seem to forget that the premier league is paying their wages and nobody wants to see this kind of friendly (the stadium will be half empty). Wes Brown pulling out of the squad is, like Robinson, a middle finger in the direction of Capello although why Brown was chosen is a mystery when he can't even get in the ManU team. If you're not good enough to play for your club then you're not good enough to play for your country!

"England's small step in the right direction".

That is the headliner.

We have seen it all before.

High hopes and low results again.

Does it really matter who coaches these ovepaid klowns?
They've had a Swede, a Scot and now an Italian. Same dismal performance.

Thinking of Mac/McLaren. I assumed he was a Scot.
