Hua Hin International Triathlon 2010

This year's Hua Hin International Triathlon will take place at Suan Praditpat Beach, Hua Hin on Sunday October 10.

The second edition event is called the Queen's Cup and aims to be part of celebration of Her Majesty the Queen's birthday.

It is also hoped the race will boost tourism.

There will be individual and team events (both male and female) in the Olympic distance event (swim 1.5km, bike 40km and a 10km run) and the duathlon ( 5km run, 40km on the bike and a 10km run).

Each event is also classified according to age category. The winner will receive 5,000 baht in cash and the trophy graciously offered by Her Majesty the Queen.

Additionally, there will be a 5km Yamaha Fun Run. There will be only two events (male and female) and each winner will get 10,000 baht while the second and third take home 5,000 baht and 3,000 baht respectively.
