Sorry I am getting confused, is qBittorrent different to Bit Torrent, and secondly is Express VPN free?

Yes, they're two different torrent clients that do the same thing, and no, Express VPN is not free, more details on it here: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=21434&start=195

qBitTorrent claims to be an advanced BitTorrent client. Express VPN costs $99 per annum (although there are introductory offers).

I've used BitComet for years and found it to be very reliable. It'll handle most of the popular torrents.

With Express VPN I get 20+ mbps in almost all cases although there is the odd exception for which I don't have an an explanation.
Movies being downloaded in 2 or 3 minutes then out of the blue one particular movie needs hours even though peers and seeds are plenty.

BitTorrent has been superb IMHO - have used it for many years... +/- 15 to 20, I certainly won't change. As for getting the torrents, YTS for movies, "Pirate" for all others - rarely failed, and only the latter has been any issue.... :thumb:

Does anyone download torrents on their phone? I see uTorrent has an Android app but dl speeds are diabolical compared to the PC version.

Also searching is a pain as you're plagued with popups from the usual sites. Is there a reliable torrent search app?

Would be handy to be able to dl music directly to the phone.

Getting a TORRENT in The Private Bay

Post by PET »

I am using this link for The Private Bay https://thepiratebay10.org/ just in case this is my problem.

I have been using Pirate Bay to download music for sometime and recently installed Windows 10. I was using U Torrent and had a problem so changed to Bit Torrent which worked ( although I believe they are the same company.

I have tried to download Dire Straits and another and when I get to the list of music I choose what I want and up comes the page where I can click OK for the music I want to download and do this - but in the status a message comes up saying "Error the system cannot find the path specified" also a box comes up from Bit Torrent saying Torrent Error.

Sorry to be long winded about this but I wanted to be clear about the problem.

Why will it not download?

I have fixed this problem and in a disturbed night I wondered if the file name I wanted to download to was correct - I have just seen it was not so hence "the the system could not find the specified path" - so stupid!!

My four go-to torrent sites are:

Movies HD - https://yts.mx/
General - https://www.ettvcentral.com/home/
TV - https://eztv.re/
Music - https://www.limetorrents.pro/

Have been using uTorrent for years with no issues.

Rather than use individual sites, I find BitChe to be a very useful piece of torrent search software.

I personally do not like the way that Utorrent tries to auto update, especially now that the later versions are banned on so many private trackers. For this reason, I use Qbittorrent nowadays.

For music, I use Soulseek.

The UI is a bit basic, but the selection of music is unbeatable.

For TV, I am using more and more reddit links, especially

and

How does that work, do you have to download the client and use that to search for MP3 downloads?

I'm looking for a decent source of MP3/FLAC as the torrent sites have few seeders for obscure stuff.

Yes, it is a tiny client but gives access to a vast network of private collections.

No need to worry about the install. As a program, it has been around almost as long as Napster.

I usually add the word mp3 to my searches to avoid all the big flac files that a lot of people prefer.

I've used Bitcomet for everything as long as I can remember. Never had a problem.
