I know this has probably been done to death but will ask again as rules often change quite frequently.
What details do I need to send money from Thailand to a bank in England. I'm sick of being charged by Western Union everytime relatives need a helping hand.
I know I can probably ask at the bank, but from prior experience in Bangkok the bank wasn't too sure either so thought I'd ask some of you guys before I go there.
If it's within arms reach, there's nothing to worry about!!
I think there is a limit as to how much you can send
Best bet is through a mate who trades in Thailand and the UK and can move funds of any amount legally
RICHARD OF LOXLEY
It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.
My wife here in California sends money to her family sometimes (her money before anyone asks).
She goes to a Thai hairdresser here and the lady takes the money (usually around 3,000 baht) write the recipients name and address in a notebook, charges my wife 300 baht (irregardless of the amount) and takes the 3,000 baht.
Many of her friends have the same arrangements here, but different shops (that's how she heard about it).
It's never failed, maybe a Thai friend, or relative can help?
The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.
