Photo Road Trip: the coastline south of Prachuabkirikhan
Re: Photo Road Trip: the coastline south of Prachuabkirikhan
Super pics. looking forward to exploring down there in retirement.

We found what was probably the best road in Thailand, miles of pristine blacktop in the middle of nowhere - no prizes for guessing who owns the beach ...
More to come ...

Final batch ...
It is interesting to see where people will build their houses, like on the edge of a cliff! Whole families can be seen foraging on the beach for their evening meal, a true 'sufficiency' lifestyle.
If anyone gets the chance take a road trip and explore some of these little bays and towns, it is the real Thailand - far far away from Starbucks, Toyota Fortuners, Sun burnt Scandinavians, Indian tailors ....

Wow, 4403 is really living life on a razors edge. I hope that house is on stilts as any extraordinary high tide will get it, not to mention a bad storm. Pete
EDIT: or.....maybe it's up on that small cliff and I'm just seeing it wrong.

Nice red soil cliffs, looking more like Africa.. Btw I see the water is calm on most of the pictures, no wind down there?

Thanks for the comments, there is an article in today's BK Post that explores some of the areas north of Prachuab:
