Internet work
Hi All
Can anyone recomend internet sites that you can do work online and get paid for it? You see so many and you have to pay to register, so I dont really want to pay for something unless I know its going to profit me in the long run.

Re: Internet work
I've no experience of such things, but the (obvious) question you have to ask is why someone would ask you to pay them for the privilege of working for them?
This is the way

Create something unique and get paid by advertising revenue via hit's and leads from your site
Re: Internet work
Not as an income but a bit of cash, maybe £50 a year from each site, Google Paid Surveys.flipperman00001 wrote:Hi All

I got £30 once for telling Skysports they were rubbish for 5 minutes, I used to do it at work.

Have a look HERE!
Re: Internet work
I would imagine most of those work from home sites are scams, as mentioned above, if you are asked to pay, alarm bells should be ringing...

Re: Internet work
Hi all...
I heard you could do ok doing online surveys years back.
well the income would be useful in thai terms!!
one of the girls were i used to work looked into it
kept her busy i suppose...
You had to either built up points by doing surveys before you got invited to the money ones.....or see an invite in your inbox fast
as there were only so many places...Im probably wrong...
Dont really know the score nowadays just all sounds
too good to be true..
Unless someone out there just pops a internet cafe....
does a few surveys before they go to the beach...
and thats them set up for the day...
If only life was so easy!!!

Re: Internet work
Did you miss the post above where I mentioned they put £30 into my bank account for 5 minutes box ticking?MwD wrote:I would imagine most of those work from home sites are scams, as mentioned above, if you are asked to pay, alarm bells should be ringing
I reckon I've had £300 off them in 1 year, it's obviously not an income but £300 is £300 and it's a sweeter £300 when you've earned it whilst earning it on paid time.

Re: Internet work
Baa Baa, was you asked to pay money to do the surveys?
The original post mentioned paying, so I would advise anyone, if you are asked to pay upfront to work for a company, I would be suspicious....so just trying to warn flipperman00001 to be careful.
There are hundreds of "working from home" sites, promising good income, but require a registration fee, or require you to purchase their client software.....
Paid surveys, are more genuine, and if filling out forms tickles your fancy...for a few quid..
If anyone knows where I can earn a decent living working online, let me know....

I'd agree with that, the vast majority of these "work from home" websites operate as follows:MwD wrote:I would imagine most of those work from home sites are scams, as mentioned above, if you are asked to pay, alarm bells should be ringing...
1) Read a big spammy blurb about how Mrs Braithwaite from Wisconsin has made 12,000 dollars this month.
2) Fill in a form with all of your personal information on it.
3) Send them 50 bucks.
4) Receive a book or e-package telling you how to sell the same scam to countless others!
I'd also agree with that - the unique bit is getting tougher these days, then there is the problem of a bunch of people ripping off your ideas and content as soon as it starts to become successful.Whaler wrote:Create something unique and get paid by advertising revenue via hit's and leads from your site

Re: Internet work
Take a look at this flipperman - might help shed some light on the matter.

A lot of them seem to make some moula from writing blogs - not quite sure how that works but would presume advertising comes into it somewhere.
Good luck!

Penn & Teller did a program on these online work scams as part of their BULLSHIT series.

Re: Internet work
OP......anyone who tells you you can't earn money online has been living with their head in the sand. I know several people who live a very comfortable life, and who have been earning their money online for many years.
The secret is, you actually do have to work for it. If you're thinking about easy options like paid surveys, my advice would be to not waste your time. You need to actually do something "real", as opposed to trying to make a quick buck here and there. Becoming successful online takes a lot of hard work, and plenty of know-how.Of course if you already know how to build a website, etc, etc, etc. then you've already got a head start, but if not, it's a long and bumpy road. The internet is full of opportunities, but forget all those "make money fast" tales/scams.
