When I walk the beach in the morning, I sometimes eat a breakfast at Sirima Guesthouse which is the first of the piers after the Hilton.
The breakfast is pretty standard but you get a nice view for 180bt with a tea/coffee, a bowl of fresh fruit and a water to follow.

Cracking few - think I'd skip the breakfast though!! Nice spot for a cold beer and lunch perhaps?

That breakfast looks OK as a Thai version of a breakfast, and I agree about the view. Out of interest, is there butter and jam with the toast please? If there is, it's as good as I eat in many Thai hotels.

Yes, there's butter and jam, it is basically a Thai hotel type breakfast, I like the view and the breeze off the sea and basically go for sustenance to continue walking.

I'd definitely go there for a cool beer in the day. Looks very relaxing.

Had a few breakfasts at Pats Place last couple of weeks and its still good, although they do use the cheap large baked beans.

Eggs were cooked to perfection and the fried potatoes very good. Sweet bread for toast though.

The waitress in there is super efficient and a lovely girl.

As it's just down the road, we use Pats more than anywhere else. Probably not the best in town, but very consistent. I always opt for the potatoes (no onions), which, for me personally is the best serving of potato anywhere (that I've tried) in Hua Hin, and I'm not just talking potatoes with breakfast.

The problem with Pats is it is a victim of it's own success. Quite often parking is impossible, and when you have parked, getting a table, especially during high season, can be a problem.

OK, not Hua Hin, but the thread doesn't specify Hua Hin. It is regularly advertised on Hua Hin's Surf Radio. I was so impressed by my visit during one of my mini-adventures a few weeks ago I decided to push the boat out and treated 4 of my family and 2 good friends to brunch there today.

OK, it was brunch, but 2 of us had the breakfast, which whilst a little more expensive than the regular Hua Hin haunts, we were also paying for the venue and excellent service. Plentiful staff and very friendly.

The food was good, albeit, being the fussy git I am, the sausage were only 8/10 (my taste bud rating), and the bacon was not cooked quite to my liking. There was a choice of white or black pudding. I opted for the white for pure novelty value i.e. white pudding isn't offered very often. It looked like an extra sausage on my plate, but when eating, there was a very distinct difference that I liked a lot. A friend opted for the black pudding, which looked like a black sausage, but he said it was good also. I would most definitely put this in the top echelon of English breakfasts that I've had in Thailand, but at 350฿ a pop, some may say too expensive. As a treat, and as part of a larger day out we all had a good time.

The other 4 had regular food, and all enjoyed it. Of course, being brunch, there was alcohol involved. My daughter was drinking the Thatchers draught cider, which was on promotion at just 130฿/pint, and was incredible value.

Not somewhere I'd go regularly, but as a treat, it is 1st class.

Nobody tried the Indian menu today i.e. 2 x Fish & Chips, 1 x seafood fried rice, 1 x fried pork. My son also had an apple crumble.

No, I had one last time there. It was very tasty, but no, I've had better. I actually tried it because somebody on Google had really gone for the throat saying it was the worst he'd ever had. Mine was fine, and my son enjoyed his. With food, I think we have determined, there's no best and no worst. It is personal choice.

Anyway, we should be talking about breakfast, so before one of the nasty moderators intervenes,
