Inbound duty free

For several years I've been in the habit packing three decent bottles of wine when I fly to Thailand, to compensate for the lousy (or grossly over-priced..) wine that is available locally.

However, I've just seen it said (on another forum..) that you're only allowed to bring in one litre - where can I find the law on this?

Thanks for that, but it says 'spiritous liquor' which dictionary.com defines as:

"a distilled or spirituous beverage, as brandy or whiskey, as distinguished from a fermented beverage, as wine or beer"

There is no mention on that link of wine or beer - do the Thais have a different definition of 'spiritous liquor' ?

I think their definition of anything depends on the customs agent in front of you and whether he is thirsty or needs cash.

Strange this because detailed lists of allowances are displayed at land border crossings (such as Ranong) but I've never seen any such signs at the airports ... maybe just haven't noticed!
