Well, you've been pointed in the right direction already. I must add though that I doubt you'll find a "christian" one. I think the best you can hope for is one where no religion is taught or practiced.

Maybe the OP wants somewhere where the Buddhist crap is not mandatory.

They call it democracy.......freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of expression, and all that good stuff....lol.

I think he/she was just trying to say that not every parent wants religion forced their child's throat. I am in fact one such parent, and i have no qualms admitting it. I don't see any logical reason why my children should be taught to believe anything and everything a monk tells them. I also don't want any other religion pumped down their throats. I think it's better if they're allowed to make their own minds up once they're older, and that doesn't happen if you get brainwashed as a child.

Big difference in saying it's crap and not wanting a religious education.

There is freedom of speech and freedom of speech. We live here and have to respect culture. Go get yourself off to Saudi Arabia and say the muslim (Islam) religion is crap and enjoy your freedom of speech. Even in the UK you would not say that in the media. A bit of common eh?

Kids get lots of information sent to them from school environment. Teachers being politically left or right biased is an example.

You need to open your mind.

A doctrine which has no concept of sin is, in my opinion, crap.

You then go on, in a later post, to say "we have to respect culture".

That's not a pre-condition of residency here.

I would also suggest that your view of 'culture' and mine are poles apart.

Yep miles apart. Sounds that you stick with your own when here, probably in a gated falang community and do not want to assimilate. One of the fish and chip brigrade I presume and a bible basher to boot!

God have mercy on us!

I guessed from your earlier posts that you'd resort to type and you haven't disappointed.

I am married to a Thai lady and we have two daughters aged 8 and 4 - luk kreungs.

We live in a very rural area, some 40kms from HH, and assimilate quite well.

I can speak Thai, I eat Thai food, sometimes, and my kids go to the temple - sometimes.

My kids can speak Thai, Chinese and English - often in the same sentence.

I'm taking them to the UK later this year as their English is not as good as I expect.

"Gated falang community, fish and chips" :D

Way off the mark young man - I'm 65, by the way, so I can call you NONG.

Beg to differ Pi. Well within your rights to call a Religion crap but in my book not very clever use of words considering the subject matter, especially from an academic and with your experience of life! Resort to type, like me, you have no idea of my type. Defending a religious remark to keep the peace is much better than slandering religion to cause war, in my book! Tolerance...

Where is the BECC situated? I have an 18 month old boy and would like to send him when he's 2 years old. Directions would help so I can go have a look at the place.
