Lost in translation, but it doesn't look good:

A pickup truck carrying 15 workers crashed into the trunk of a ten-wheeled car carrying rubberwood parked along an Asian road. Pattani-Songkhla line, Tepa area, killed 14 pregnant young workers, including a driver who was seriously injured.

We were stuck in long traffic queues on the Petchkasem highway both times (going and returning) this weekend due to major accidents around Thapsake. Both incidents were caused by overloaded trucks spilling their loads all over the highway (no idea if there were fatalities, but there were a lot of messed up vehicles).

They certainly won't be caught by all the new speed and traffic light cameras.

British man, 78, and partner, killed in car crash in Thailand
A 78-year-old British man and his 27-year-old partner were both killed in a car crash in Thailand on Tuesday afternoon, reported local media.

The Briton was not identified by local media, but police said his partner was a 27-year-old male called Tawid Kanadee.

Local media said the couple’s vehicle was hit by a car from behind. The resulting collision pushed the vehicle directly into the path of an oncoming black Isuzu pickup truck.

The 78-year-old was sitting in the passenger seat which bore the brunt of the impact of the collision.

The couple’s car had to be cut free from the wreckage after the crash, that took place around 4.30pm local time.

The Briton was pronounced dead at the scene, while his partner was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

I was told of an accident with the fatality being a Thai male motorcyclist outside the 7-11 on upper Soi 94, opposite Drink and Shelter bar

But I was told this happened on the 30th

Are we saying there was another one on 31?

Edit..... Sorry now informed this was last night 31st

There was definitely one last night. The sirens behind my house were very loud. My son-in-law who works for rescue services confirmed it.

Another train crossing "accident", fatal I believe:

The baby mother, driving a pickup truck across the railroad tracks, fell into a hole, hurriedly carried the child away but failed to catch up, and was tragically struck by an iron horse.

The injured rescuers were transported to Ekachai Hospital, where 39-year-old Chinese national Yamin Lin and 1-year-old Girl Kanok Lak (surname reserved) were taken to Samut Sakhon Hospital, where both were seriously injured but could not bear the poison and later died.

Should use Google translate for our 'caption competition'. It'd be far funnier than anything we dream up!
