Holiday Visa to the UK for Thais

Do all the applications for UK visa's in Thailand have to be done online now? The last time we got our visa we filled in the paper application. It was more convenient for us at the time as it would be now. I was just on the website and it looks as if the only way to apply is the online method, would this be correct?? Would like to hear from anyone who has gone through the process recently.
