Hua Hin does have many ice cream shops but I've only found two that offer chocolate chip mint ice cream (my favorite). They are New Zealand Natural Ice Cream and Baskin and Robbins both located on the 2nd floor of Market Village.

Alternatively, buy your kid a Green Tea flavored ice-cream  , and you'll most likely find he will never eat ice cream again.

Yes ice cream on bread/toast always baffels me somewhat.

I love the deep fried ice cream though.

Durian is a foul tasting mess, I hesitate to call it a fruit as it is so bad. I don't know about Thailand, but in Singapore you are not allowed to bring them on public transport as the smell is so bad and most taxi drivers will not entertain you with one either.

Same same for busses and taxis in Thailand. No durian eating allowed inside.
