Any other girls on here?

This part of the forum seems pretty quiet. Am I the only one here at the mo?

Not quite the only one

I'm just a newbie here, but I can definitely say you're not the only woman on here now. Might be just us, tho ...

I've been checking this section for a while - have not posted earlier because I couldn't seem to relate to the items posted before. Wouldn't mind getting good discussions going, however...

Try a PM to Wanderlust (Deidre). I am sure she would love to respond but is a little shy sometimes.

On a more serious note, where are all you girls from, and what are you doing? Are you in HH or elsewhere? etc etc
(and I am a man in case you hadn't already 'guessed')

Alternatively, direct your questions to Guess. I go to his clinic quite often for mental guiding.

A good idea is to start one off. Maybe things you like, or don't about Thailand, from a female perspective.
The main thing is not to get put off by some of the replies from our regular nutters.

I have been a frequent visitor of Hua Hin/Cha-am - hoping to be spending my retired years in the area. The last time I was in Hua Hin, I hooked up with Robinb who used to post either here or on Thaivisa - but she apparently moved back to the US. My interests are books, movies, art, cooking, etc. I also love to just sit and look at the sea. My interest in postings on HH realted boards is that I would like to get to know the community and its people - I did get to meet some local Thais and a retired Brit lady. It would be great to meet more people who share the same interests........

This board's a good a place as any to start searching for like minded people. However, not all the ex pats post on here (although I'm sure Admin would want them to). So the other option is to get out and about to well frequented ex pat bars and simply ask around. Most places won't bite

Hey - haven't checked in here for a while, I'm not the only one then! I'm in NZ at the mo, will be in LOS in Feb. Will holiday for a few weeks, then come to HH to check out jobs, and then find something to do still school starts (all going to plan). Booked our tickets tonight! NZ$1,350, pretty good.

I'm 25 and I'll have my daughter with me (7), so I have no idea what my social life will hold or even if I'll find friends in my age group (most of my friends are older than me tho). Would just be good to meet a few women, to talk about western life and possibly locate the odd babysitter etc!

Dawn you are running the Dog Rescue Centre? I was just asking about that on here the other day. Had a look on the website but it seemed it hadn't been used for a while so I wasn't sure if it was still going. I'd love to adopt a dog if my landlord allows. Just a question - would you also provide a kennel service (at a fee of course!)? I do plan to go for holidays when I am there and wouldn't want to leave the dog at home with just a neighbour feeding it...

Talk soon every one
