Not a happy hunting ground for the Chelsea of old, I recall being there, well at the Dell, for an FA cup game which we lost, I think 3-1 - was Keegan playing? I just recall having had a few sherberts on the way down (from the old King & Barnes brewery) and then at the ground, going to get 4 teas for me mates and on the way back, spilling the lot over the back of a shirt-sleeved Saints fan minding his own business sitting on the terrace, reading his programme. I shouted sorry as my apology was drowned by his screams and I legged it!

Southampton where in a dark place 22 nd in league one until Nigel Adkins took the helm less than two years ago.

We had 27 years of top flight football then 7 years of struggling but we are back now happy days.

When I left the UK, Saints were in the Cup Final and mid table finish. Since then it has been all downhill.

The new owners and Adkins have done a fantastic job. Can't wait for next season.
