New requirements for immigration residency letter

Post by magobligin »

I was not prepared for the "new" list of requirements quoted to me to obtain an immigration letter to allow me to renew my Thai driving licence. The following was required;

Passport
2 x photos
Photocopies of passport pages
- original retirement visa
- latest retirement visa
- arrival card TM number
Completed TM 30
Photocopies
- Blue Book (or Yellow Book)
- Wife's ID Card
300 Baht

I certainly did not present this amount of information on my last visit to obtain a letter.
On! On! to the driving centre tomorrow... wish me luck!!!

Must be a Hua Hin thing, did mine a month or two ago (further south) and the only requirement was a copy of the blue house book where I was staying, no charge for the letter.

Edit: I changed the title of the topic to reflect its contents.
