Living Room Bistro- My Review

Post by blue05 »

Went here on Thursday evening for dinner with the better half and had a great time

I was being boring with my spices and had the nachos as a starter which were cooked in cheese, so the nachos were quite soft, bleeding delicious

As I was treating myself I had the imported Filet Steak which was cooked exactly as ordered , no faults with the mash or veg either another great dish

Soft Chocolate cake to finish, which was as good as the cakes in Secret Garden

The missus had the Northern Thai Started that she is still talking about and the Sea Bass, she is nagging me to go back this weekend!

The location is great, right on the beach at the bottom of soi 51 (opposite cocos), very trendy and the staff were all very attentive without being overbearing at all

Not the cheapest in town but around 30% cheaper than cocos and I think the quality is at least the same here if not better

I will go back, not just because of the nagging, I did enjoy it very much

Nice to read a good honest report. By contrast, I had the pleasure of enjoying savory fish cakes today, prepared by my 7 year old daughter. Not perfection by any means, but probably the best fish cakes I've ever had, for obvious reasons. :thumb: :D

Been there 4x. I have to agree the location is great, and so is the food.

They also have a separate room with AC. If you are taking out some tourists who can't take the heat, or want to keep the kids contained, it's a good spot.

I think there are new staff and new management, the buffet served on Friday night was very very good.
They have a lovely location and no reason why they wont do well. :thumb:
