Nakhon Phanom

Post by TakeitToTheMax »

Just taken a trip north to Nakhon Phanom, Had a great time even though it seems very few people speak any English. I drove this time but the highway was really badly broken up especially the concrete sections, maybe this was due to the flooding last year. Never do it again.

I have to go back next month, anyone know if there are flights as I have been looking and cant find any.

I only saw a few Farang there so I am also looking for a Nakhon Phanom forum, want to know if many expats live there, info on land prices and all the usual Farang stuff.

Any help very appreciated.

Nok Air flies there twice a day from Don Mueang. Check their web site: http://www.nokair.com/nokconnext/aspx/f ... edule.aspx

There's no dedicated forum for the place, just bits and pieces if you search for Nakhon Phanom in general. Not many farangs there and 99% will be your retired US military type who are all 60+ by now. Here's some interesting links about long ago. Pete
