Good service at B-Quick.

Post by usual suspect »

Yes I know I'm usually ranting on here, but sometimes some HH businesses are worthy of praise.
(some of you may have different stories about this company..?)

The old charabang needed 2 new rear tyres..Cockpit said they had no Michelins, so cruised into
B Quick tyre shop.
Quick explanation that my rear tyres were cracking & the boy showed me the Michelins they had, then showed me their price-list (maybe to prove this is indeed the price for everyone..?),
& informed me there was 1 yrs warranty included.

The staff speak limited English, but were polite.
I sat & observed them tackle the job (I've done tyre-fiitting before).
2 lads, worked slow, but precise, no corners cut, all wheel nuts checked with a torque-wrench, wheels were balanced, plus the engine's air-filter was blown-out also (that ensured them their tip..555!).
Old tyres loaded in the bed for me, & the truck backed up to the reception/office doorway for me..
(where I'd been sat in a comfy chair & air-con also)

All in all a job well done, & decent customer-service...Thank you B-Quick.. :thumb:

Yeah Dannie Boy..these folk are on the Southbound carrigeway coming into HH, nearly opposite HH Ford dealership..look for the sign with bright yellow logo, & their building is set way back with large parking area in front..looks like a gas-station was there before me thinks.

Have to praise them as well. Went in this morning with a flat (nail in the rear tyre). They repaired the tyre, swapped it back with the spare I had put on, then hit me with the massively inflated 'rip-off the farang' bill.

How much did they charge?

Nothing.

After taking my Fortuner to 3 different Toyota dealerships to fix the leaking air conditioning it was finally B-Quick who did the job right.

I have to change my tyres and I found this thread... Could someone be more precise about the location? I'm not familiar with HH. Thanks in advance.

Scroll up about 4 posts.

Coming from Cha-am it is after Index and before the first set of traffic lights, on your left, set well back from the road, but clearly marked if you're looking.

EDIT: Thinking about it, it may be before Index, but if so, not by very much.
Just keep looking left when you can see the Ford dealer on the right.
But be careful you don't go cross-eyed...

Blimey, really??

EDIT: Incidentally, we'll be taking our Vios there for a change of tyres soon, but do they do anything else? Any servicing, oil changes, etc.?

I recently drove up to Chon Buri and along the way picked up a nail in one of my rear tyres. Asking around, I was told to find a B-Quick behind the shopping mall in Chon Buri.
Expecting a bill for a new tyre and having to wait ages to get it done, I too was pleasantly surprised when I was only charged 200 baht for a repair and they did it straight away. I guess they have a good system in place that works across the branches as I have heard good things about their other branches in HH and BKK. Nice to see a company operating well for a change. With luck it may spead across the road to Ford! Wishful thinking on that one me thinks.

It also appears they do brakes, exhausts and I would imagine other small jobs. Didn't see anything about servicing though but I can't see them not being able to do an oil and filter change.

Yes, they do oil and filter changes. Also tyres, brakes, batteries, suspension, but not exhausts as far as I know. They do get busy and it may pay to book the car in beforehand.

It should come as no surprise that the company is owned by a Farang, a Dutchman if I recall correctly.

When I read the above this morning, I thought how expensive that was - I was sure when I went to Bridgestone for similar work a few months ago it only cost 80 Baht. I didn't say anything because I wasn't sure.

After lunch today, Mrs BB calls out, "Your car has a big problem." Sure enough, there's a nail in the tyre. The tyre was still inflated, so I drove straight down to Bridgestone. The nail was removed, and the tyre repaired within minutes of my arrival. Cost 100 Baht.

I don't think I'll be bothering with B-Quick while their prices are double Bridgestone's prices.

Well, I won't be going to the Chonburi branch, that's for sure!

But it was free in Hua Hin...
