Costs to build a wall

Post by JD »

Has anybody got an idea of what the going rate per meter to build a wall is?

I have a rectangular piece of land, 1966 sq meters and want to put a wall around about 1.8 meters in height.

I know we have a few builders on here with crews, can anyone give a price?

I have had a price from a local builder, but to be honest, now he knows I am ready to go ahead with this project, his 'updated' price is almost twice what he quoted me at the end of December.

Depends on the spec, but I had a high spec 2 m high wall built just over a year ago and for 2400 sq m paid just over 600k. Any guide?

rendered both sides and painted, you will be lucky to get it for less than 2k per linear meter.
basic rendered on one side and not painted maybe 1800 per linear meter.

Pretty much bang on. I had a 40M wall built last year, rendered both sides and painted. 1.8M high. I paid 2,500 Baht per metre The price did include a top pre cast lintel (if that's what it's called)

Just to confirm that my price included rendering and painting on both sides too. Not trying to teach you to suck eggs, but what goes below ground is probably more important than above ground - I have many photos of how mine was constructed, if you want to see them, pm me your email address and I will send you a selection.
