Three beaches in Thailand are included in the list of the 10 best beaches in Asia on the TripAdvisor 2013 Travellers' Choice Beach Awards.
One of the world's more popular travel sites, Tripadvisor released the list on Wednesday, announcing it was compiled on feedback from millions of travellers worldwide.
The Thai beaches in the top 10 are Railay Beach (3rd place), Phra Nang Beach (5th place) and Nai Harn Beach (6th place). Railay and Phra Nang beaches are in Krabi province and Nai Harn Beach is in Phuket's Karon district.
The top place went to White Beach in the Philippines.
Tourism Authority of Thailand governor Surapol Svetaseni said, "Thai beaches are unlike any other beaches in the world, whether you like playing extreme water sports or taking sunset photos along the beach. There are always interesting things to do on Thai beaches."
Mr Surapol said Thailand also has other beautiful beaches, such as Kata Beach in Phuket, Lamai Beach in Surat Thani and Long Beach in Krabi.
