No. It does look remarkably similar from the back but the Cambiano has four doors (and that's another clue)

.....one of the legends parents came from Luton.
Luton is Vauxhall but it doesn't look like anything they've ever made.

The 'legend' isn't a person - Richard was halfway there, sandemb has some of the technical specs.

Lotus - Started in Norfolk, parent in 1991 when chronos designed was Vauxhall (GM), who were based in Luton.

Correct. The monster that spawned from their mating in 1991 and would have been the basis for the Pininfarina Chronos, at the time the worlds fastest four door production saloon, is ?

The underpinnings of the Pininfarina Chronos were supposed to be from the mighty Lotus Carlton but it never happened.

The Lotus Carlton was first built in 1990 with a 3.6 twin turbo giving 377bhp, 0-60mph in 5.1secs, 0-100 mph in 11.1secs and on to an unlimited top speed of 177mph; and all packaged into a reasonably discreet four door saloon.
