A delicate matter of colour...

Post by dtaai-maai »

Bear with me on this, as it's a moral and ethical question I've been struggling with for a few days.

I've recently developed a fondness for some rather special sweeties.

They're called Fox's Crystal Clear.

"What's the problem?" I hear you cry.

I'm glad you asked.

There aren't enough black ones.
Or red ones.

And there are far too many yellow and orange ones.

And this is where the 'delicacy' arises, because it takes me back to my childhood and to an issue for which, if I'm truthful, I should have sought therapy many years ago.

Fruit pastilles, fruit gums, wine gums, jelly babies - and now Fox's Crystal Clear.

Why don't they produce packs that consist only of the black ones and the red ones?

Help me, for God's sake, please help me...
This is the way

For me it is black ones only not keen on the red ones; thankfully the other half dislikes the black one so I can have them all to myself!

Does anyone want the green ones... Ughhh. I guess that's a throwback to school dinners, cabbage, sprouts and the like.

If you find a good therapist please give me the contact details. Sorting this out us well overdue :D

I'm with you totally, DM (metaphorically speaking  ).

Maynards, after a bit of research, found out that the most popular colour for their wine gums was black and red, so they now sell packets of only those colours. Maybe Fox's will do the same? Perhaps you could start a 'Fox's Crystal Clear swap', similar to the book swap, but, obviously pre-sucked sweets wouldn't be allowed, unless they were nearly their original size and had the original wrapping.

We have our own poll enthusiast on this forum already.

Maybe you should get him to start a poll on this very important topic.
