Yes - some of these are familiar.......
I recall 2 wonderful uses of the English language.
Ask someone to do something for you and they do it - then they are 'doing the needful'
If a meeting is delayed then it is postponed - ok. But bring it forward and it is 'preponed' - now that sounds grammatically correct but find that one in a dictionary.............
Anyway - delighted to say that I probably won't be going back there any time soon
