Land for Sale signs are not always referring to the land where the sign is. It could be anywhere and the sign placed there to attract restaurant customers.

Back to topic. I've driven past Shiva this evening, and it was well and truly open.

I went in Everest last week on Poonsuk Rd. Run by Nepalese . Very good selection of dishes and nice nan breads. Not expensive either well worth a try.

Anybody tried this place?

[Mod Edit] Links to menus are against T&Cs. The restaurant is Royal Hua Hin Indian Restaurant, Damnoen Kasem Road, Amphoe Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand 77110

Not yet, but looking at the food and reports, it looks like I will be soon - hopefully there will be positive reports from Forum members

How about Karan cafe in north Hua Hin near Makro? The place always looks dead but would be convenient if any good.

Maybe you'll be the lab rabbit and try it out. I've never seen anyone in there.

I’ve tried it a couple of times. It’s OK, not the best in town. For those living at this side of town it’s a pretty good option for a quick Indian takeaway fix.

We have eaten at the Royal indian before and it is to my taste. Also there were two Indian families in there staying at the Centara and we had a chat and they ate there several times and obviously enjoyed it.
cheers

Can only say that I have tried Everest a couple of times and they serve up a very good menu.

What I like about the Indian choices we have here in HH is that they all have a very distinct style of cooking.

Shiva seems to be very rich and heavy (not in a negative way), whereas Everest seems lighter and fresher tasting.

Spoilt for choice really with respect to good Indian restaurants here.

India has a huge variety of cuisine which differ in different parts of the country. In the UK, for example, most Indian food is from Northern India. I've heard people complain about the food at Indian restaurants as not being what they're used to. In most cases, it's because it's from a different part of India than they are accustomed to.
