Plumber desperately required in Hua Hin

Post by Dizzydave »

No doubt, many of you will have sorted your water supply systems out but until now, I have never been able to bring myself to do any home improvement. When I am back at my house on my holidays - time has been spent eating, drinking and messing about on the beach.

As such, my missus is slowly chewing off the battered reminants of my spuds each and every morning "the water pressure is low - I can't have a shower - the washing is always dirty - why do the neighbours never have these problems, why are you always sat there with a beer in your hand when there are jobs to do!" etc etc

So, can anyone help out (other than stitching a certain persons mouth up - which I believe would solve far more issues, above and beyond those of low water pressure)
Does anyone know of a plumber or company that does water pumps and filter setups?

We already have a storage tank but all I need is a basic system setting up which would be.
Piping from the incomming water sypply to the water storage tank.
A float valve on the storage tank (plus add a level gauge) - add a booster pump from the tank through a micron filter (then probably to a buffer tank) - pump would be controlled via a pressure sensor on the outlet of the buffer tank.
Wiring to the pump from the main distribution board in the kitchen and fit an isolator at the pump.
Piping from the buffer tank back to the original pickup point and adding a bypass valve for whenever there is a power cut.

This must have been done a thousand times in the local area, does anyone have someone they know or can recommend?

Thanks for your support.

Dave,

Getting a plumber in Hua Hion is like getting a bacon sandwich in Golders Green.

Anyway try this guy. Name is Sang. Number is 01-9912677.

He is always busy and he is based in Cha Am so it can take some time to get him on site. However when her arrives he will solve most of your problems. He is the only plumber in Thailand that understands the impications of pressure in a water supply.

Best of luck

Talk about Pressure !!!

Post by Dizzydave »

Dear Guess,

Thanks for the phone number!

Pump, pressure tank & filter installed in less than 5 hours and the system works great!

A combined Mitsubishi pump and pressure tank for 6,000
All pipework, plumbing and valves etc for 5,000
Fitration equipment for 12,500
The only thing we had to do was get someone else do the wiring which took all of 30 minutes.

We can even fit super huge shower heads on and the water beats the hell out of you.

If any one else needs a plumber, Sang's your man!
He was amazed that we got his number from a fallang website.

Thanks for your help,

Tony

An update - my water tank feed pipe burst and I needed a new pump anyway so I called Chung Sang. Top bloke! We called him late on Thursday and he came round on Friday evening - on time and with all necessary kit! He replaced the pump with a new Mitsubishi and fixed the broken pipe in less than a couple of hours. He charged us 5500 baht all in which seems a bargain since it is not far off the price of the pump in Tesco Lotus.

Thanks for the phone number Guess, that one has gone in my address book for future reference.
Perhaps this could be an idea for a new thread, phone numbers of local reliable tradesmen.
