Looking for a Cleaning and Ironing lady.

Post by trifca »

I live in south Hua Hin off Soi 126 and am in a new home about 100+ sq.mtrs. Am looking for a cleaning lady and if she will do some ironing as well that would be great. I would like her once a week if possible but at least every two weeks. Cleaning services here in HH are too expensive.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks

What is "too expensive" to you?
I wouldn't have to manage my anger if people could learn to mange their stupidity!

Cleaning Services here charge 875 Baht per week. In Bangkok I was paying 400-500 baht per week and that was for cleaning only. I am looking for someone that will clean and iron once a week. I am living in a NEW development with ongoing construction and need every week if possible. So 3-5 hours including ironing.
Thanks

Your best bet is probably to ask around at local shops, laundries, restaurants, etc. - and your neighbours of course. There might well be someone in Kao Tao who fits the bill.

If it helps, the Thai for 'maid' is pronounced as 'mair baan'.

EDIT: Yikes, where did the OP go?
This is the way

HI Sticks, Thank You. The other post had a different number which I wrote down. Wondering how big your home is? Is she an independent? Does she iron for you as well? Wondering how long she has been doing your home? Obviously she must be doing a good job or you would not recommend her....?
We are new to HH just moved into new Villa March 1st. (Took us 9 months to build) We are off Soi 126 so south of town. Will she travel?
Thanks

Why not use the number he has given out and speak directly to her? You can ask all the questions you want and don't have to wait for a response here. If its a language barrier then find someone to help you with that. Try her out and if it works out that's great if not then move on to another. No big loss.
