Passport expiration coming up

Post by migrant »

I seem to remember, but cannot find, that your passport has to be valid so many months after your trip is over.

My MIL's passport expires Sept 2015 and I think the time was 6 months so she would need to leave my March 2015

Am I close??

For you to travel to another country yes, you are correct. But isn`t your MIL with you in the USA, and isn`t she Thai? If she is returning to her own country I doubt very much it would be a problem. In fact, I believe that there has been some examples quoted where the Thai passport was expired, and they were able to travel back to Thailand.
May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!
