Notary Public

Post by KCOJ »

I need a notary to witness my signature on a couple of documents.

Specifically I'm told that I need "a Notary Public or a person authorised to administer oaths by the law of Thailand". Can anyone point me in the right direction to someone here in HH?

I would have thought that the forum sponsor Chavalit and Partners would be a good start.

Good chance it might not be accepted in your home country if that is where the docs are needed. If so, your embassy is the only place where you can have that done. There will be probably be charges as well.

I have used P & A Notary Public for many documents needed in the Uk so I am sure you will not have to go to the embassy.
They charge Bht1,000 and do a very professional job - good luck

Thanks for the advice folks.

I went to P&A today but the bossman wasn't there. Found another in the same building .. Thai Legal Centre. Charge was B2000, which I thought was a bit rich for a simple witnessing of a signature, but there you go.

Anyway thanks again for the tips.

Go to U.S. embassy web site and make appointment for citizen services. They have a notary. Expensive but legal.
