Thanks, it may be a case of trying a few of the normal outlets and compare models/prices.NOKYAI wrote:Makro have them, sorry didn't look at the price.

Also available at Big Kiang / Soi 88.. Cost about Baht 4000... HomePro also stock this item.
Re: Hot and Cold Water Dispenser
I would caution against buying a dispenser by the brand "Imarflex". I have had bad experiences of them. Further I would not buy a model that has a sort of cool locker at the base of the unit as the two models of them of which I have used both seem to just leak condensation out of the cool lockers and are of no real use.
I'd buy a model with similar faucets as in the above picture. They are easy to find as spare parts and one needs to replace worn faucets occasionally.

We have 4 "Victor" units.... with no problems over past 2 years.
Re: Hot and Cold Water Dispenser
We've had a Lebensstil as in the link for the past 8 years. Not a hint of any problems. Exceptionally high quality unit. What is a problem is that as each year passes lifting and flipping those 15-18 liter bottles on to the top gets more difficult! The unit below also comes with a smaller sleeve to insert into the top hole in order to fit smaller 3-5 liter bottles. Pete

Re: Hot and Cold Water Dispenser
Just bought a 'FILTEX' one from Homepro, 7,000 baht. Sharp have them from 4,000 baht but if anything breaks it is only serviced by the dealer. I bought this based on easy spares availability. Note that the other dealers with no-name brands cost almost twice as much, and I remember the nightmares we had with the RO (reverse osmosis) unit installed in the office. The ones you have where you lift the bottle into place are the simplest and therefore have less to go wrong with them. My two baht worth.

Thanks to all for your suggestions, although TBH I've only just read the last four after returning home having bought a new one - it's a Sharp model bought from Big Kiang and cost 4,800 baht.they did have cheaper models at about 4,000 but this looked to be of better quality - couldn't work out how to show the picture right way up!!
