I wouldn't!

There seems to be a built in fault that causes the screen to lock up after a certain time. Check out frozen bottom 1/3 of screen on Google. If you want a kindle buy new and hope you get a few years. Or look at alternatives. I bought an Asus phonepad for B 4000 from top floor of the old shopping Mall and installed the Kidle App. I'm very happy with it and it has replaced 2 phones as its twin sim. OK it's not so good in direct sunlight, but it does a lot of other things.
Enjoying 'Retirement'....So many jobs to do, I don't know how I ever had time to work!

I bought a 2nd hand kindle for 2k baht over 2 years ago and haven't had a single problem with it, and I use it a lot.

Having said that, it was a pure fluke that I came across it (a friend of a friend), and I don't know how much joy you'll have looking for another.

A 2014 kindle from Amazon is only $79, http://www.cnet.com/products/amazon-kindle-2014/
and if you want to go upmarket, there's always the new kindle Voyage ($200) - have a look on Google.
This is the way
