For those of you with year visas (non-O, non-B or other) that have to do the 90 day report slip at local immigration don't forget it!
It had recently lapsed my memory and I had to go in there to pay the 2,000 baht fine which I didn't object to since I was the one that forgot. They actually do give seven days grace on it and the visa is still valid for 6 months.
What I did object to was the acompanying stamp that they now put into your passport informing the rest of the planet that you have violated Thai immigration laws. Fortunately it is in Thai so will only be scrutinized by the same officers that scrutinize the same stamps year after year whenever you renew your visa.
Still made me feel like a hardened criminal though, so just as a warning, don't forget your 90 days!

I was late by three days last week on my 90day reporting. A mistake of my own making and actually thought i was going to be early. I thought i was due on the monday and thought i'd go early on the saturday morning, only to find they no longer open on a saturday.
I went along on the moday at 8 30 and the lovely lady processed my request and no fine. She did say on my leaving to be sure and not be late again, lovely lady.
I know what buksida means re the late stamp in the passport as i had one when reporting by post to bangkok and they said my application had never been receive. I was two weks late and fined 2000 baht and the offending stamp placed in my passport. It was refered to every time i had an inspection of my passport. On renewing my passport it disappeared.
