Lindosfan does it and is the 2018 F1 Pool Champion!      Well done and I think the first time he has won the F1 pool, which is not an easy thing to do in keeping your head together for 21 races over 8 months.

That's it for yet another year, I've lost track of how many years we've been doing this. I'll start a new 2019 thread when any significant F1 stories begin to emerge. Thanks to everyone for playing. :thumb: Pete

Congratulations Lindosfan1. I'll need to fine tune my system next year - listening to the commentator last night, I've been throwing away 1 point every time by picking Hamilton as fastest lap - if the commentator was correct, Hamilton doesn't do fastest laps.

I am flattered by my final position.

Thank you BB and Bamboo Grove I was lucky enough to build a lead. Looking at the individual scoring stats, the only one I was best at was the fastest lap. That,s luck.
Looking forward to next years races.

Hats off and goodbye to Alonso. :thumb: He has been an interesting guy, and I'm sure he'll continue to be the same driving Indy cars.

The following is a 5 part series from the BBC about his career in F1. Pete

Thanks, Pete, and farewell for the winter from a cold, wet, windy and generally miserable England! (Why are Sparky and I here?!)

Hope to see y'all next year.

Seems my faultless system has some faults..... A tweak or two is in order for next season apparently!

Congrats to lindosfan on the title and once again many thanks to Pete for setting up and captaining a very enjoyable tournament. Looking forward to 2019!!

Thanks, Pete, for taking the time and trouble to keep this fun game going. My weak excuse for my rapid downward slide in the table is our move to the UK and a broken wrist... :? I look forward to a more settled 2019 and will get myself into peak fitness (both physically and mentally) to give you boys a run for your money.

Hard to steer with only one hand VS, and it's not even the icy season yet I don't think. :duck: Get well and remember us poor sods here listening to Christmas music while sweating buckets. Happy Holidays to you both. Pete
