Touch-up for car paint work
I have a very small amount of paintwork damage on my car (no bodywork damage). Does anyone have an address in Hua Hin for someone that can touch this up? Thanks in advance.
Re: Touch-up for car paint work
I would suggest Taweesak opposite Hua Hin School on the Pala-U Road. They do not charge stupid prices. 2 weeks ago, I reversed into a parking space - I soon found out why it was a empty space, there was a post stick up in the space (probably) only in Thailand. Made a mess of my rear bumper. Took it to Taweesak - 2 hours and 600 Baht later, it was like new.

Thanks, I will try it
Re: Touch-up for car paint work
If it helps anyone else on this forum — and I appreciate the OP was looking for a repair service rather than touch-up paint — but I noticed at least with Toyota, they won't provide owners with touch-up paint for minor chips any longer. I can only presume this is because (1) they don't believe an owner is capable of making a minor paint repair and (2) because they seek to generate revenue in their extremely overpriced body repair shop.
Anyway, the solution I found was to order the Toyota paint from an eBay seller in UK, by quoting the vehicle colour code number. The cost was next to nothing and two fingers to Toyota Thailand for this practice, which anywhere else we'd regard as a basic customer right to be able to buy some paint for his or her motor.

Be careful when requesting a touch-up in Thailand

Re: Touch-up for car paint work
I popped in there (Taweesak) this morning, as the back bumper on my car had been scrapped along the side by some nice big jeep whilst I was sat at traffic lights.
There wasn't a lot of damage, and I reckoned it could be painted over.
Nice young Thai guy, with good English, had a look and immediately quoted me 5800 Baht!
I thought he was offering to buy my car!
I politely declined, and left.
I wouldn't want to put other people off, but do make sure you get a quote first.

Same young Thai guy wanted double for my mishap - spoke to his mum and got the proper price.

Was it just a repaint or did it include any replacement parts?Don East Stand wrote: ↑Tue Nov 06, 2018 1:07 pm I popped in there (Taweesak) this morning, as the back bumper on my car had been scrapped along the side by some nice big jeep whilst I was sat at traffic lights.

Hi Dannie,
There were NO replacement parts required, just a repaint. He indicated that he would have to take the back bumper off to repaint it. I couldn't see how that would justify an extra 5000 Baht (roughly based on Big Boy's cost)
Perhaps the secret is to take a Thai friend (or Thai wife if available ) and get the Thai price!

Try Channa at Khan Klong close to traffic lights (dyonosor market ).Don East Stand wrote: ↑Tue Nov 06, 2018 1:34 pm Hi Dannie,
