Buffalo Bills

Post by londongeorge »

Anyone know what is happening at Buffalo Bills? I've noticed that all the tables and chairs have been cleared out.

Good location, nice indoor-outdoor deck, food was OK+ under original owner Bill, but has struggled since he sold and left.

Return of Bill in the New Year.

After speaking to Bill, he said they are set to return in the New Year to possibly negotiate a deal for a reopening an all new Buffalo Bills. He told me he and his family are doing very well. One in the Royal Navy, one working part time in the family business in-between college studies. As is said watch this space.

It's up and running again. I walked past the other day and they had an alligator / crocodile / cayman on a spit over a BBQ.

I enjoyed the Elton John tribute the other week.

I found the price of a beer very expensive though..180 baht for a draft San Miguel. No wonder people are looking at visiting other countries, as apposed to Thailand.

I guess you could go to Ban kom por instead though, where the equivalent would cost around 75 baht. A lot of tourists maybe wouldn't know about that place though.

Well only a personal point of view of course, but I for one will not be rushing to welcome Bill back to Hua Hin. Only went in there couple of times a few years back and found him to be an extremely rude person. Particularly if you dared to criticise the food or servi

To get a balance, I'll just say...

Knew Bill and the family for many years in Hua Hin. Lovely family who were always great hosts. Had many a good time at Buffalo Bills.

I'll second that, I visited Bill's restaurant regularly when I lived here previously, I found him and his family to be excellent hosts, I stayed in one of his rooms when I returned a number of times, very good value.
I never had reason to comment negatively about his food, so can't speculate what his reaction would have been if I'd had to do so.

Absolutely nothing wrong with "balance", Just as there is nothing wrong with posting an opinion.
Both of the previous posts claim to have known him well, and just MAYBE that was the problem. He would not be the first one to consider just his friends first, and stuff the rest of you!

My opinion his based on his rude treatment of me at the time. And I also recall some of his posts on here ridiculing other people, which eventual lead to him being banned!

For the avoidance of doubt, I didn’t know him well, I never said I did, it’s just that I found him to be an amiable host when I did visit his restaurant and stay in his accommodation as a paying customer.
It’s a shame that others saw another side of him which I don’t doubt for a minute, I do wish him every success on his return, I suspect we all do, it’s a challenging market out there in the current climate.
