What are the operating hours for Pae Mai?
Re: Food Courts of Hua Hin
One of the restaurants there is open 1700 to 2300 so that may be an approximate guide until someone answers who knows the official hours for the whole place.

My daughter-in-law opens at 5pm (if it's sunny, it's too damned hot to sit there anyway before 5). The advertised closing time is 11pm, but TIT. If business is brisk, she will stay open until 12 - I think it's lights out at 12 regardless, but buy before closing, and I don't think anybody will move you on.. She was home at 10 last night

Re: Food Courts of Hua Hin
The basement food court at BluPort is really solid and the prices are generally in the ฿40-60 range per dish.
Re: Food Courts of Hua Hin
Was at Pea Mai again last night and enjoyed an excellent Pork Chop from Steak Van Adapt for B109.
Meal was only slightly spoiled by the ignoramus on the table the next to us lighting up half way through. There are large no smoking signs in English & Thai all the way round the food court . Most of the customers are Thais and have rarely seen a Thai smoking in the food court. I have noticed that when there are smokers they are generally Westerners. Do they think that in their superiority the smoking prohibition does not apply to them or are they just inconsiderate a*******s.

I have to agree, plenty of No Smoking signs, generally adhered to by everybody, but smokers don't realise how much it puts a non-smoker (and some smokers) off. However, that is just not Pae Mai, it's probably anywhere in the world.
I was there last night also - pleasant little band on the stage and a big band coming Saturday.

Are the food courts included in the bar closures or are they counted as restaurants?
Enjoying 'Retirement'....So many jobs to do, I don't know how I ever had time to work!
Re: Food Courts of Hua Hin
AFIK, Cicada is closed until further notice and Khun Pho's is only allowing take-away food.
I passed there last night and all the tables are empty and there were a few people buying take-away. I would guess that the food stalls will close of their own accord as it doesn't appear that there's enough take-away to support them.

Re: Food Courts of Hua Hin
As I drove past Baan Khun Por about an hour ago, loads of temporary food gazebos were being set up along the roadside, and all chairs turned to non-seating mode, so I'm guessing take-away only. That will make the roads there even more impassable than before.

Re: Food Courts of Hua Hin
And restaurants were open !!!!!
Re: Food Courts of Hua Hin
Would you care to expand please? Restaurants where? Was it a problem?
I'm guessing Food Courts are a victim of their own success, and authorities have taken action to keep numbers under 50.
