Waste Engine Oil

Post by HHcolin »

Hi,
I like to do my own car and motorcycle maintenance including oil changes, back in the UK i would take the old oil to the council tip for recycling. Is there anywhere to dispose of it here or does it just go in the bin with the other rubbish?

As far as I know there are no central collection places. But used oil is a viable recyclable item, so I guess that most of the car repair places have an old drum that they collect used engine oil in and then sell on it to a scrap dealer. If you drain it into the containers the new oil comes in one of them would probably take it.
May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!
