Just came across the word 'Oleaginous' used recently by the American media to describe U.A. VP Pence as being Oily, greasy.. Falsely or affectedly earnest; persuasively suave ... or a Yes man for D.J. Trump :tosser:

Remember Bernard Mathews and his Norfolk turkey products?

They're Bootiful!

I've just posted about panic buying and stockpiling. For some reason the word 'curmudgeonly' springs to mind...

A word I know but would be hard pressed to define without context. Not a word I would use in reports during my previous incarnation.

Being a Brit, I know the answer you’re looking for, but as a young lad, every Sunday a man would drive down out street in a small van selling various seafood including winkles, so I guess to people who collected them were also winkle pickers?

I've just looked it up, and apparently it's not the person that gathered the winkles, but the pointy (clue, guys!!) implement used to 'winkle' the winkles out of the shell.
