Notice nobody has mentioned Sony speakers. Maybe not so popular but I've had no troubles with them. Used this cheap 'n cheerful little badboy for a couple of years with zero issues. £20 I think. Decent enough sound for size and price. Battery seems to last forever. Mainly a bathroom speaker but has been out and about all over the place...

I'll upgrade soon to a bigger speaker as I'd like a smidge more bass. Only so much a pocket speaker can do. Think I'll stick with Sony though. Maybe the SRS-XB23 which comes in at £70.

That Marshall speaker you've posted would definitely be better than the speakers I mentioned. Just depends how much you want to spend I guess.

This is the rub, I want the genuine article but can't order from Marshall Singapore as they won't ship to Thailand, and Thai e-commerce websites are full of Chinese fakes. Will have to start wading through some of the reviews.

On Sony speakers, a pal bought one of these in Singapore and it has a great sound and battery.

I have a bose soundlink color which is okay for what I need. Not really powerful but good sound and enough for a room or to play when sat quietly in the garden enjoying a coffee. I bought it in the UK at John Lewis so was able to compare a few all around the 100 to 150 UKP mark. Lasts a long time and easy to link to my iphone. I think you can get them in Thailand but not the cheapest and not sure if they are copied. Shower resistant as well but not something I have tested on mine. I found it very useful when doing ASQ to have some decent sounding music.

But not to "up" or he'll blow out the cone. It's only a small speaker.

Bonham's bass drum is enough to rip the body of the speaker and the highs on the guitar could perforate a birds eardrums. :)

I have a huge Yamaha rig for the house and a Roland for the axe so, yeah ... we can do loud. When it comes to amps and speakers, there's no point cutting corners - "we're not here to fck spiders" my Aussie pal would say.

The baby Marsh is for reggae on the beach!

As far as I know, the flagship stores are THE official stores by the official distributors. Ash Asia is the official distributor of Marshall in SEA.

It took a week to arrive but we've had some time to sample the beast and the sound and frequency response is superb, to say the least. Rich deep bass, solid mid-range, and not too tinny top-end, you don't want to go much further than halfway on the volume knob! The battery lasts for a couple of days (it says 20 hours on the marketing spiel). Well impressed with this one, highly recommend for those wanting to splash out a bit on a decent speaker.

I may have to convert all my music to FLAC now. :|

8,400 from the official store on Shopee. They had them for less elsewhere, but more than likely Chinese copies.
