I dont understand this. Has the country come to the point that people are "scared" to stop and help a poor little kid? It is damn fortunate that some idiot did not come speeding down the road behind the little kid, only to be blinded by the pickups high beam lights, with an obvious result.

Driver spots girl attempting to reach grandmother's house in the dark
SURIN: Video footage shows a girl of about three years old lost in the middle of the road on a rainy night. Rescuers helped her return home safely.
Facebook user “Khun Aon” posted video on Friday of the girl looking lost on a two-lane road with no lights on Thursday night in Chumphon Buri district of this northeastern province.
“I was afraid the child might be part of some fraud group, so I didn’t get out of the vehicle, and I called a rescue team to help her,” Khun Aon wrote on her Facebook page. Her friend “Bow” was in the pickup truck taking video of the incident with a smartphone.
In the video, the couple slowly reversed their pickup truck several times, as the girl, dressed in a Squid Game-inspired outfit, ran towards the vehicle. After the rescue team arrived, the couple rolled down the car window to talk to the girl, who cried and told them that she was lost.
The rescue team took the girl to her grandmother’s home, which was a few kilometres away from the road.
According to media reports, the girl had returned home from school and wanted to visit her grandmother’s house in another village.
The grandmother said she was about to get help from a local village chief after the child had gone missing around 7pm.
“People should look after their kids better. The child is kilometres away from home and it’s raining,” the Facebook user wrote.
The video was widely shared on social media, with many viewers praising the pickup truck driver for not leaving the child on the road while at the same time taking precautions.

Saw the video clip on channel 34, they tell a slightly different story. (You need to understand Thais attribute a lot to the supernatural).
Apparently the girl felt the spirit of her deceased grandfather and followed the spirit in the direction of the grandmother's house. The people in the pickup who saw her didn't immediately want to pick her up for fear of being accused of child abduction. Hence the extended video footage. Only then did they question the little girl..

Absolute BOLLOCKS! What they probably thought was that the little girl was a PHI!VincentD wrote: ↑Sun Mar 20, 2022 10:19 am Saw the video clip on channel 34, they tell a slightly different story. (You need to understand Thais attribute a lot to the supernatural).

And as I posted, if some idiot Thai had come speeding up behind her, then she could of very well ended up a PHI! The kid was 3 years old FFS!

Guess that has a lot of truth to it, won't pick up a PHI unless they were 100% sure it wasn't..

A vid that long is silly & dangerous. How easy, and why wouldn't anyone, stop immediately & render assistance. Simply getting her off the roadway and out of the rain.
Simply call out, no answer, put in your car, and call any police # or 191, to state you found a kid, for your protection, then locate the closest police station to drop off.

KLA, one must not forget that here in Thailand, especially in the really rural areas, there are ruses to make you stop and get out of your vehicle so they can rob you. More common than you think. Always err on the side of caution, any video left on the dash cam won't save you after something happens.. Just saying..
