4 billion $ seems like a lot to invest for little return. Maybe they'll make it up in fish, chips, and beer.

To me it's ludicrous money despite there being a significant amount of investment attached to the club - property etc. That said, the new/potential owners have not made their collective fortunes by being naïve in business.....

There is still huge untapped potential at Chelsea. Remember, football is the World sport and covered all over. Chelsea's IT presence is massive and under exploited.

We opened this new 2022-23 thread early due to the Chelsea sale and purchase which will affect next season, not this season.

Please be sure to put any comments about the remaining 2021-22 season games into the Premier League 2021-22 thread, which we'll lock after the last match.

Good news for Tottenham (sorry, still waffling on about spurs... feel free to chip in about any other teams news :D). Enic/Joe Lewis, Tottenham's owner, are putting their hand in their pocket for the first time in 20 years handing the club a £150 million booster. Actually pumping their own money into the club, not just money from revenue.

This would give Conte a 'possible' transfer kitty of £250 million this summer. It appears Conte is being backed big time. Time will tell.

I never watched the spurs one when we had Jose. Couldn't bring myself to watch it. I'll be watching the arsenal one though for sure.

Well for once I think I am in complete agreement with you!

You've said this more than once over the past months. After 15 years of more downs than ups between us on the forum, I believe we may be entering a sort of friendship.
