I stayed in HH about 18 months ago for around 10 months and found it to be a nice place to hang out with everything a farang needed without it being like Pattaya, Phuket or Samuai. A friend has just come back and says it is getting more like the above. Also some of the posts are saying the same. There is now a blowjob bar? Just wondered what the long term residents feel. I think it would be a shame if it did go down the seedier route. Any thoughts!!!!!! Dunc

It really isnt as bad as all that, its a great place to stay most of the people are cool and the BJ bar isnt as in ur face as it may seem having been there last night. What is available there can be found in pretty much any of the bars here, its actually a nice bar. HH is not like Pattaya or Phuket any one who thinks so is not opening their eyes.

Johnny glad to hear it. I quite like the way it was and it would be a sad day to see it go the way of Pattaya. Wish I was sat at yours like before watching the Grand prix with an ice cold Chang instead of sat in front of the TV in Peckham. Hope to see you all In NOV. Will bring you 6 Stella.

When we have lost our Hua Hin and its just another pattaya all the people who tolerated the blow job bar should hang their heads in shame. Why on earth don't we value what we have got, a clean, family oriented peaceful resort. Last time I was in pattaya to see a family member a falang fell at my feet with his throat cut from ear to ear. Nice night out and an everyday occurence in that hell hole of sleaze. Any one profiting from degrading women in the blow job bars deserves to burn in hell.

Roberto aas much as I'm anti blow job bar I think you might be getting a little too worked up. I dont know how long its been open or whether its likely to remain open, I suppose it depends on how busy it gets, but from all accounts its well screened and as such nothing to worry too much about. If you disagree with it that much then move. Lets just wait and see. As a member of the orginal HIPPIES movement there is only one reply to bj bar,whoo-whoo. Far out and i can dig it. Right on and what's up doc. It sounds like their giving bj's on the street. If so i firmly oppose it. If they use a small amount of restraint then whoo-whoo. every change in hh seems to be met with unusual amount of bitching and moaning. I agree with JW. Hua Hin remains a good place to live and I believe it will remain so whilst the palace influence continues.

I have to agree with Roberto on this, the type of tourist this sort establishment will attract will degrade HH for ex pats and locals alike. It is not the Buddha way and it is not for Roberto to move away if he doesn’t like it. All it takes for bad people to succeed is for good people to do nothing. It’s simply a case of people with little or no dignity trying make money by degrading poor people. If it spreads all decent people, Farang and Thai alike, will have to move away rather than allow their children's vision of humanity shaped by contact with these people.

i think the bj bar is a bad idea. like my friend says,"are you going to pattaya when you go to thailand", "no, too seedy", "why dont you go to koh samet then", "not seedy enough" hua hin has a nice balance, without being a sodom and gomorah. but to the person who said its a nice family resort, did he not go down by the pier where the freelance skanks hang out. they might as well have fishing rods! very in your face. but thats where you can get it for 500 baht all night, or free if a girl likes the look of you.
