British weather

Post by dtaai-maai »

Classic British summer: yesterday it was sweltering, 31C - windows and doors open, fan on, wishing we had a/c. Today? 15C, doors and windows closed, fan off, cardy on...
This is the way

Indeed - full sun yesterday..... Absolutely pi$$ing it down today. All change tomorrow, clear skies forecast with temperatures in the 20's.

Blame it on Brexit.

Sunshine all day today, but windy in the afternoon warm all day., no rain but rain forecast for tomorrow. Amazing the difference in the weather in the different regions.
I blame it on the Welsh. :duck:
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.

It’s obviously varies according to exact location, however it seems it was hot almost everywhere in the UK yesterday - we had a high of 33° and although it’s a fair bit cooler today its still been in the low 20’s, but we had rain earlier and we now have thunder and lightning.

With the cooler weather, I was expecting the thunder storms - never came. Have to say, always enjoy the thunder and lightening!! :?

I’m sure that most of the Brits on the Forum will be aware that the UK is experiencing record breaking temperatures and definitely hotter here than it is in the Hua Hin area - a short while ago it was 37° and expected to be even hotter tomorrow and of course very few people have any AC to cool things down - it’s expected to break by Wednesday and rain will help bring it down to about 27°Image

^^^
40.2°C (104°F) registered in London today which broke the hottest ever temperature recorded from... an hour before that. :D

Honestly, I've not had barely any sleep since saturday. My home is a literal hotbox with the uncanny ability to not only trap the day's heat, but keep in the day before's too and add it on top.

Horrible.

Aren't we lucky to be living in Thailand where road safety is paramount and never a problem with anything burning at the side of roads!!

.....and tomorrow you'll complain how cold it's become when temps are expected to halve, from the early 40's down into the low 20's.

It's part of our culture to complain about the weather. Don't destroy our culture. Keep complaining!

I've been hearing about this 'rain' but nothing yet. And, unfortunately, I'll have to break the trend of complaining about the weather should we see a sharp drop in temp tomorrow. It will be welcomed with open arms.

I'm currently laying in bed with three frozen bottles of water (so bottles of ice). I have one tucked under my chin, one resting on my belly and the third has my balls slung on it. I have three more on the go in the freezer ready for a quick triple substitution when current bottles are deemed no longer cold enough.

This is no way to live.
