It could also have to do with the new schedule that connects with Quantas for onward flights to Perth.
They are now listing the direct Perth flight as being either via Sydney or Melbourne.
They deserve to be bankrupt! :guns:

I don't know how THAI can even compete in the industry these days since their fares are more than double the competition for the same routes.

As said above, they deserve to be bankrupt.

If you were to travel with Thai Airways from Perth to BKK via Sydney early next month tickets cost around the AUD $2330
mark ONE WAY and 21 hours traveling time as opposed to 6.5 hours now direct. The alternative Singapore Airlines cost with a stop over in Singapore, total traveling time of 8 hours, costs only AUD$1,355 with heaps better in flight service and decent aircraft. The last Thai aircraft we flew on recently was so old the paint was peeling off it.
To sum it up in the commonly used Aussie phrase "Yer gotta be kidding"
