Seiko in Hua Hin ?

Post by Motyduke »

i tried to find a seiko watches dealer in Hua Hin but it seems impossible. Closed in Bluport, nothing in Market Village.Have tried some shops in city but when i asked about Seiko, they looked me like i a coming from Mars... But Seiko is a brand very popular in thailand. I am really surprised that a city like Hua Hin have nothing and it seems more and more common for good items.

Obviously not enough demand - Bangkok is your best bet.

Thanks. For me it is importat to see the watch i buy and try them on wrist. Central give absolutely no information about size of strap and i had some problems in the past with them about their return policy for other items.

Hua Hin is the pits for all decent brands, not just Seiko. But it's possible that Big C in Petchaburi might have an outlet? Every Mall I have ever visited in Thailand has at least one Seiko outlet, but Hua Hin seems a bit of a watch wasteland right now.

Never used to be like that. I've bought 3 Seiko watches over the years, all in HH. They used to be well represented so I don't know what happened.

Where did you buy them in HH ? If it is in Bluport, it is disappeared. Staff of other watch brands told me that Seiko is not interested anymore in HH market as it is "not good for budget"....don't really know what they mean.

Maybe the watch market is changing, I wore Seiko watches at work for about 25 years but I now use Casio. I like the built in fitness tracker functions and absolute accuracy.
Apparently, Apple now sell more watches than the entire Swiss watch industry

Hehe ... this just popped up on the BKP ...

Generation Z finding time for second-hand luxury watches
Swiss watches are in high demand these days, but sales of second-hand timepieces are also booming, driven by Generation Z buyers who want luxury goods but are also sustainability-minded.

The global second-hand watch market is estimated at nearly 20 billion Swiss francs ($21.7 billion) and could reach 35 billion francs by 2030, according to a study out in October by the auditing and consulting giant Deloitte.

Last time I wore a watch was diving with a Suunto many moons ago.

As I mentioned before, it looks like a trip to Bangkok is the only likely location to find what you’re looking for.
