Kick off! Three spurs lads in the starting line-up. On iplayer for anyone interested (though commentary in Welsh... :( :wink: )

Wales were cruising 2 up, but a 45th minute goal from Finland has changed the mood...

The winners look set to play Lewandowski's Poland in the play-off final. Currently a goal up and Estonia down to ten men.

And that'll be that. Easy for Wales in the end, Finland completely outplayed that second half. So it's Wales vs Poland on Tuesday for a ticket to the Euros!

Only a friendly but being against Brazil makes it a little more interesting. Kick off at 7 on channel 4.

There's 26 International Friendly's going on at just about the same time Tuesday evening. I wonder if I can get them all on TV live? :shock: :duck:

Right up for the game tonight. No, not England... the Wales vs Poland. A one game shootout for a trip to the Euros. The winners will be facing a very tricky group stage of France, Netherlands and Austria.

All square at the break. Wales thought they'd gone ahead through Ben Davies just before the whistle but marginally offside. Brennan Johnson having a good game (best player on the pitch for me but I'm biased :D ), looks dangerous whenever he's on the ball.

Gonna be nail-biting stuff for the Welsh this second half. You watching, Pete?

England game too late for me. But I read good midfield and attack with many chances squandered (same as usual though with no Kane).

With a fit squad only maybe one of those duffers in defence would have got off the bench (and not the Pub Drunk who caused the second Belgium goal with his error, and who would have been better left sleeping it off on the bench), so maybe we have a good chance in the competition.

England and Belgium are 3 and 4 in FIFA current rankings. So I don't feel too bad about the result, unlike the usual hordes of 'Southgate out' commenters screaming under newspaper reports.

PS: it was a friendly, a chance to try out. Lessons will have been learned.

++

Heartache for Wales. From what I read, seems they didn't look good enough to win, Poland only half did. Tough match.

I don’t know what the Belgium team was like in terms of injuries (obviously no De Bruyne), but England had a lot of first choice players unavailable through injury so difficult to judge the overall performance in relation to how well they might do in the Euros. Last night definitely highlighted the fact that the defence is the weakest area - midfield and attack are both stronger but rely heavily on 3-4 players - if they get injured then I doubt it will be “coming home “!!
