I was there yesterday - didn't see you (but I do have a facial recognition problem). Yes, it was very busy and I was number 12 in the queue. However, there were 3 doctors working, so no real delay - any delay is waiting for blood test results.

It's still the best outpatients clinic in town IMHO.

Just a couple of questions. Is the Express Clinic still operating and do you know if they would be able to remove a cyst that is giving me quite a bit of discomfort. Also what is the easiest way to get into the clinic once you are at the front of the hospital.

Thanks,

George.

Yes, the clinic is still operating.

I don't know about removal of a cyst, but they are trained doctors. I'm sure if they can't do it there and then they will make arrangements for you.

Go into the main entrance and walk straight through and out the back door. Turn right. Ahead of you to your left you will see a purple 5 storey building. Walk as far as the road (past the x-ray department, When you get as far as the road, turn left (I think there's a grand sign saying something like Outpatients Department. walk to the building, and there are 2 lifts to your left. Get lift to the 5th floor, turn left and through the double doors.

Have had a painful abscess cut and drained at the clinic. Process took a couple of hours.

Also have had a large cyst removed from my back. That required surgery but the process started at the clinic.

Don't you have to check in at window 2 before you go to the clinic?

I've been using the clinic for years - I've never checked in anywhere other than the clinic itself. However, I'll bow to handdrummer's experience. Window 2 is on your left as you go through the main entrance. You have to go past it on the way, so stop and register on the way.

Other than my very first ever visit to the hospital, to get a patient number etc I've never checked in anywhere other than the express clinic itself.

Just follow Big Boy's directions

Before leaving I dial 032 523 000 once answered then press 7502 and it will get you through to express clinic directly. I usually get a feel for how busy they are and whether Docs are on lunch etc

Khun Sudarat usually speaks the best English but there are others

I used to pay 300 for Doctor and 200 premium fee when visiting here.

Just made a telephone enquiry and was told it is now 580 Doctor and 200 premium.

She said "we have put the price up for foreigner on visa" but couldn't explain everything because her cashier not in today.

Have I missed something here?

Big Boy will know I suspect...

TIA

It usually depends upon the doctor you see, sub clinic you are attending, etc. Basically, I just pay - I still think it represents excellent value for money when compared with the alternatives.

I hear what you say and agree re VFM

but a. I would be seeing a general Doctor(not specialist) and b. she specifically mentioned a price increase

I was just curious. Maybe I'll find out more tomorrow from the Cashier (and post update).

Big Boy wrote:Monday to Friday from about 08:30 until 14:30 go straight to 5th floor of the purple building. There is a multi-storey car park, which will cost you 20฿, when leaving. More than 8 hours will cost an additional 10฿/hour.
Because these times sometimes change (eg Bluport immigration) I was looking for an update on what time the Premium Clinic opens these days?

Ive been there several times before but never checked opening hours

Thanks

I normally arrive at 8am (to be sure of a parking space). Doctor arrives between 9 and 9:30. I have my blood tests early, have breakfast, and return to see the doctor.
