Superbru/HHF - Women's World Cup Prediction League

Whilst acknowledging that England were somewhat fortunate to win, Chloe Kelly certainly showed how to take a penalty!!

I've only watched 2 matches thus far, yesterdays England game and the currently ongoing Jamaica vs Columbia. I was wondering how these ladies teams would fare against some of the lower division mens teams or Thai league teams. Perhaps Big Boy could give some insight.

They'd probably give Tottenham or Man U a good run given what I've seen thus far.

A big question, and the answer is going to be the same with most sports. Yes, some of the ladies are very skilled. but they don't have the physical size to compete like with like.

Having said that, they could probably do a job against some of the lesser Thai teams i.e. some of these ladies are quite large, and traditionally Thai men are quite small, so that could balance things out quite well.

Technically, those who play for the better ladies league sides, there is definitely an advantage. These girls don't play kick and rush, but are trying to play proper football. Again, they should be streets ahead of lesser Thai teams. As for playing against e.g. English League 2, they'd have the skill, but not the physicality.

The other BIG thing in favour of the ladies, is they don't cheat. No diving, no waving imaginary cards at the ref, or imaginary TV's in front of the ref. No feigning injury, or arguing with the ref. The ladies game is so much purer.

The US women's team lost 5-2 to Dallas under 15s boys when they were world champions. Though the women's game is greatly improved they'd struggle against most (all) national league sides.
