Football (not Premier League)
Re: Football (not Premier League)
Looking at it, I presume it is based on actual support, together with how many plastic/armchair supporters a club has.
[Edit] On that basis, I'd push Liverpool a lot further down the table.

Re: Football (not Premier League)
I don't think it can be based on actual support, as Bradford would be up there with the best of the best with an average attendance in League two of over 18,000. as would Derby in League 1, with an average of 26,000. Arsenal, the Spuds, who don't even appear, and West Ham all now have bigger stadiums than Liverpool.
I think it's just one persons personal biased opinion. We all have them!

We're on there!
Six across from you, we blend into the background a bit. But I agree, it's a garbage chart with no data driven (it'd be impossible) basis in anything.
I don't trust children. They're here to replace us.

No, I don't consider myself other than an armchair fan these days. I just look at the sell out stadium week after week with 20% of those fans travelling to all away matches. Closest local derby 100 miles. Excellent fan base. However, that isn't going to last long with the absolute dildo they have in charge now. Within a couple of months, he's lost the dressing room, lost the fans and consolidation is looking less likely with every match. We'll soon be back to 4K crowds in League 1.

England B XI 0-1 Brazil D XI
I'm going to have to stop watching England friendlies. This was a pretty dire and useless game, despite the commentators' and pundits' attempts to talk it up. I don't remember any point at which England looked likely to score. I soon lost interest to the extent that I was quite pleased for the young lad who scored and couldn't care less that England lost. I feel sorry for the spectators.

Most uninteresting fact of the day:
Anthony Gordon became the first player to make his debut for England while playing club football for Newcastle United since Andy Carroll in November 2010.

Yes, Brazil sounded very tempting, but I decided sleep was more beneficial. I just thought it would be a half-hearted game. Sounds as if I was right.dtaai-maai wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 4:06 am England B XI 0-1 Brazil D XI

Re: Football (not Premier League)
Six minutes on YouTube this morning was sufficient - to be fair, Brazil looked a bit more dangerous than England although they had a few chances - England (particularly Maguire) looked shakey in defence!!
Re: Football (not Premier League)
I don't like watching Southgates England, full stop, so no,I didn't bother.
He doesn't understand such words as flair, ability and talent, and dumbs down the players at his disposal.

Re: Football (not Premier League)
Well, yeah. That's what I said in my post, not just the bit you quoted. I was surprised Chilwell played. Injured for ages, then came back for 4/5 games, then another separate injury, played I think, 2 games since. So hardly fully match fit.dtaai-maai wrote: ↑Sun Mar 24, 2024 4:48 pmJust as well, coz while Gallacher was pretty ordinary, Chilwell was awful!!
