The ugliest Thai vehicle for 2023 competition

Post by PeteC »

That is the new Lexus van. It looks the same as the new Toyota Alphard.

It is a snowplow, not a passenger vehicle! :banghead: :cuss:

I won't say that is my favourite, but I quite like the general shape :run:

Look at the bottom of front end as well. I'm not sure even legal in the EU, UK or USA.

You hit any biological unit with that blade and 1/2 goes up over the windshield, and 1/2 goes under the vehicle. It looks like a damn vehicle out of the Mad Max movies.

The new Thai PM is driving around in a black Alphard of the same design. The official PM vehicle now I guess.

Sorry to disappoint you Pete, but apparently it’s arriving in the UK/EU now!! Have to admit, I don’t find it attractive either, although not quite “the ugliest car” available!!

Last year I bought a Mitsubishi Xpander. It’s not bad. Good car. Comfortable ride. You wanna see ugly? Go look at the Xpander Cross. Not even Clark Griswold would be caught in that thing.

For ugly, the Thairung Transformer has a pretty good go, it looks like that Lexus van above mated with a Hummer:

I've seen the odd one around but they don't seem to make that many of them.

The link shows that it has a Toyota engine in it, and all variants come in under 2 million Baht.

Edit:....and BB would fit comfortably in it!

Yes, Thairung make vehicles using pickup chassis and running gear, they used to make those big estate cars that taxi drivers used about 20 years ago.
That Transformer doesn't look bad from the side or rear but the front end is horrible.
